Kicking it up with Mrs. Cobb

Mrs. Laura Cobb tries various methods of instruction in order to keep her students engaged and focused. They do whole group instruction, small group activities, interactive learning games, and technology to keep the classroom more fun. She does lots of hands on activities, for example they do an activity where students are encouraged to work with a partner in order to write a story. Then able to share the story with the entire class. It strengthens students writing ability, as well to be willing to go with the flow.

The most challenged thing Mrs. Cobb thinks in her class is about teaching is ensuring that she meets every child where they need it. Student’s levels and abilities are constantly changing, and she must be willing to change them. Mrs. Cobb strives to make sure every students needs are met, and not just academically, also tries to take a interest in their emotional well-being as well. She says she wouldn't change her job for anything!

Join us in thanking Mrs. Laura Cobb for everything she does for our little Panthers!
