The Pre-School classes at DSES are enjoying a great year so far, with fun learning and activities.

On August 23rd Mrs. Kammie and Mrs. Mary opened their doors to the preschoolers.  Since then, the preschoolers have been learning to adjust to a schedule, get along with other children, and get prepared for kindergarten. They also have several peer tutors from the high school that help them through out the day. The preschool staff spent several weeks before the school year preparing their rooms for the kids.  Preparations ranged from painting the rooms, to getting new toys, and hanging decorations up. So far the kids have been doing very well adjusting to the school schedule.

The classes have been working on writing their names, and learning the alphabet. They have improved so much since August, and the kids have learned to get together so well over the past month. They are a very strong intelligent group and everyday they are learning new things. On October 4th the kids will go on a fun trip to a pumpkin patch. Then later on Halloween they will go on a trip to Outwood to trick and treat. They have a lot in store for this year!
